Policy:
Students at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln have been coerced by Chancellor Ronnie Green into using the Safer Community App. This app requires your vaccination status or weekly testing results to be submitted in order to gain access to academic buildings on campus. This app also tracks the phone of students through bluetooth and location services to ensure that they do not come within 6 feet of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. I believe that students have the right to privacy and freedom of movement on campus. Students do not surrender these rights simply by walking onto the campus of a public school. Ronnie Green and his staff should not harm their students' education by restricting access to academic buildings at the students' own University. I hereby petition Ronnie Green to return the rights of students on The University of Nebraska - Lincoln's campus and stop the use of the Safer Community app to enter into academic buildings.
